Following the advice from the UK Government on 23rd March we had to temporarily close for business. The health and wellbeing of our customers, staff and the wider public is of paramount importance.
In line with current government predictions announced on 25th May we are targeting a restart date of Monday 15th June 2020. This proposed restart date will obviously be subject to the restrictions on non-essential small businesses lifting as predicted. Should there be any changes we will update this page.

I had a session/viewing booked before Lockdown:
  • Firstly, thank you for your understanding. We will be in touch with you from 1st June to rebook your session. This will be by email with a link to a rescheduling diary so you can choose your preferred appointment time and date. Once you have rebooked with us, we will contact you by telephone to confirm the details.

I have products to collect:

  • Your beautiful images are safe and secure. We will be in touch with you once we are open for business again to arrange a suitable time for you to collect them from us.

CoVid-19 Policy

As professional photographers working in our community it is essential for us to help to minimise the spread of any infection. Even though we have always operated a clean studio working policy we have introduced some new working protocols to meet government guidelines as well as common sense initiatives to protect us & you.

Like all small business we have been hit by this pandemic lockdown and are eager to get back to work, but we can only do that safely with your cooperation, which includes a no touch protocol and sanitisation on arrival.

Personal Protective Equipment

Our key PPE protection is through sanitisation gel on arrival, for both you and us as well as a thorough cleaning regime. We would prefer to work without PPE, like masks and gloves, most of the time, but at your request or for specific reasons or government guidelines, we will of course do so.

The Mark Hewitson Photography Team

All our studio team will follow our studio protocols on sanitisation, cleaning and self-distancing.

Until further notice there will be designated washroom facilities for clients and Employees. Sanitisation, Hand Washing, Sneeze Etiquette and health monitoring will all follow our studio protocol.

Social Distancing

We have rearranged our diary to ensure no crossover and we are working to a strict “By Appointment Only” rule as well as ensuring our contact is minimised with the social distancing. As we say “2 meters doesn’t mean that we don’t love you” in fact by respecting the 2-meter guideline as well as our no touch policy, the session will still feel like a great experience.

We will follow guidelines on grouping and numbers at all time and adjust to the numbers in a session allowed. When shooting on location we will only be photographing one client at a time, with an extended time slot to allow for appropriate client & team member sanitisation protocol.

On arrival we will ask 3 simple questions:

1. How is everyone feeling?

2. Has anyone had a cough or any flu-like or Covid symptoms in the last 14 days.

3. Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the last 14 days, including a visit to hospital?

Sanitisation Protocol

Prior to all sessions our sanitisation and cleaning protocol as a minimum includes: Washing hands regularly before and after any session. Cleaning of all client areas and furniture, including client toilet facilities, door handles & counter tops. Post Session cleaning of studio props that clients might come in contact with.

Client Compliance

We are sending to everyone via email a short contract where we ask you to confirm that you are in good health and that you have not had contact with or symptoms of CoVid-19. We do require this to be signed by everyone prior to coming in to us. We are unfortunately unable to conduct your session without this.

Rescheduling

Should you feel unwell before your session, or should you come into contact with a known case of CoVid-19, please inform us at the earliest opportunity and we will happily reschedule your session for you, without charge, to a time when you are feeling better and you are past the incubation period for CoVid-19.
